Survivors of Suicide Support Group

| By Jodi Horton

support groupCasa de la Luz Hospice’s Survivors of Suicide Support Group begins in January to offer help, hope, and healing to individuals who lost a loved one to suicide.

The death of a loved one by suicide can present special problems in the grief process. Survivors often experience a greater sense of shock and/or injustice, more feelings of guilt and blame, and a greater sense of helplessness. All of these can complicate the healing process for survivors.

Casa de la Luz Hospice would like to offer a safe space for survivors (family, friends, and other loved ones of suicide victims) to share your loss with others who are also experiencing similar thoughts and feelings. The eight-week series will begin on Tuesday, January 13 at the Casa de la Luz Hospice main office and is open to adults only (18 years old and above). The group will be offered on Tuesday afternoons from 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

If your or anyone you know is interested in joining this group, please contact Sally Saunders or Carol Miller at (520) 544-9890 or Group size is limited so please contact us as soon as possible. Registration is required!

All support groups are open to the community and are free of charge. However, donations to the Casa de la Luz Foundation are always appreciated.
