Not a ton of news articles for you this week, but there were a couple good ones. The Washington Post has an excellent series of articles about the country’s caregiving crisis and the struggles of family caregivers. Read more: Heading toward the caregiving cliff

It’s inspiring to read about the different and innovative ways older adults are creating in order to achieve more years of independence. There are pockets in our country where the emphasis is on community and helping one another, and that kind of attitude should always be supported. This Kaiser Health News article about adults bringing note takers to the doctor is a great example of this community support.
