Our field staff spend a lot of hours on the road visiting patients, and we know there are plenty of professional and family caregivers out there doing the same. Summer heat’s in full swing in Arizona, and that’s why we’re sharing this article from Tucson News Now about tire safety.

Did you know June is PTSD Awareness Month? PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder, can occur to anyone who experiences a traumatic or life-threatening event. An individual with PTSD may experience symptoms such as reliving the event, avoiding situations that remind him/her of the event, negative changes in beliefs/feelings, and feeling keyed up. Learn more about PTSD from the VA’s National Center for PTSD website.

If you’ve got some time, you might enjoy this Radio Lab podcast from January what doctors want from end-of-life care. Maybe the most interesting fact is hearing doctors say they wouldn’t even prescribe for themselves what they prescribe for others. Some of the statistics are just astonishing.
