The end of the year always brings about lots of discussion about trends from  the previous year and goals for the new year. In addition to the usual stuff, like saving money and losing weight, we hope you’ll join in this goal, suggested by Boston Globe writer Joanna Weiss: to remake death the way we re-made birth. Given our home in a Hispanic-driven area, we found this story from The World in Words both interesting and relevant. Hospice care is a concept and philosophy that still takes some explaining in our community, but hopefully through more education, including articles like this one, hospices will be able to reach out to and care for more Hispanic families.
