Throughout this summer, the Washington Post has published a series of articles criticizing hospice care. While we think it’s great to see the issue of healthcare fraud and abuse being publicly addressed, we are disappointed by how the Post has failed to incorporate the positive side of hospice. Our local paper, the Arizona Daily Star, picked up the Post’s article and ran it in their newspaper last week,  and the Star published an op-ed response on Wednesday from our administrator. And on a totally different note, the New York Times ran this wonderfully touching op-doc. Watching this husband care for his wife with Alzheimer’s, and their son’s storytelling of this caregiving is watching love in motion. Read and watch more: A Marriage to Remember
