Survivors of Suicide Support Group

January 9, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - February 27, 2019 @ 7:30 pm

The death of a loved one by suicide can present special challenges in the grief process. Survivors often experience a greater sense of shock and/or injustice, more feelings of guilt and blame, and a greater sense of helplessness. All of these may potentially complicate the grief process for survivors.

Casa de la Luz Hospice offers a safe and supportive space for survivors (family and friends whose loved ones died by suicide) to share their loss with others who are also experiencing similar thoughts and feelings. The eight-week series will begin on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the Casa de la Luz Hospice main office and is open to adults (18 years old and above). During their time together, group participants will have the opportunity to explore their grief through discussion and creative activities. The group provides a space to honor their loved ones and connect with each other. There is no charge to attend this group series.

If you or anyone you know is interested in joining this group, please contact the Bereavement Department at (520) 544-9890. Group size is limited, so please contact us as soon as possible.

All support groups are open to the community and free of charge. However, donations to the Casa de la Luz Foundation are always appreciated!
