Happy Memorial Day

| By Jodi Horton

For today’s blog entry, we’d like you to take a moment and reflect on the meaning of this holiday. For many individuals, it’s become just another day off on the calendar, the unofficial start to the summer season, but remember that a deeper meaning exists for today.

Memorial Day was founded by General John A. Logan, a Civil war veteran and Illinois congressman. He recognized the day as a day to remember those who had lost their lives on the battlefield for our country, and we continue to recognize it today in honor of those brave fighters.

We wish you a happy Memorial Day, and hope that you will honor those who have lost their lives to war, and those who continue to fight for us today.
